Groton Rural Cemetery Association

Proudly Serving the Area Since 1858

WELCOME

The Groton Rural Cemetery was established by the New York State Legislature in 1858 and has been an important and historic area for residents ever since. Its 24 acres are sited above the village, with rolling hills and panoramic views. We invite you to visit.

The Groton Rural Cemetery Association is a group of volunteers who are working to maintain our beautiful and peaceful cemetery for you and your loved ones. The reverent care and dedication given by our citizens to the Groton Rural Cemetery is as evident now as at the turn of the 20th Century.
